While Bet365 originated across the pond in the United Kingdom, they have solid coverage of Canadian sports, especially the NHL, which is a big plus. They offer a strong range of bonuses, 24/7 customer support, a dedicated mobile app, and many sports and betting markets with competitive odds. The live betting section is great, and Bet365 is one of the best sportsbooks for live streaming events.
While there is a lot to like about Bet365, it was disappointing to see that, with such an established online sportsbook, it has no VIP or loyalty program. Phone support would have also been nice to see, but that is often not available at online sportsbooks. While it accepts popular banking options, it is not the biggest selection.
Bet365 is licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission in Ontario in congruence with iGaming Ontario, the AGLC in Alberta, and by the Government of Gibraltar in all other provinces.
We tested all of the key aspects of the Bet365 Canada sportsbook and, overall, we gave it a rating of 4.5 out of 5. Read on to see how we reached that conclusion.

Bonus & Promotions
Bet365 offers a strong range of bonuses and promotions, from two welcome offers and profit boosts to parlay insurance, seasonal offers, and more. The two welcome offers include up to a $1,000 first-bet safety net and a $10 bet to get $50 in bonus bets (win or lose), plus 50 free spins.
Both of the welcome offers for new players have a minimum deposit of $10. For the Safety Net Bet, if your first bet loses, you will receive 100% of it back in bonus bets, up to $1,000. For the Bet $10 and get $50 and 50 free spins offer, you will get the $50 in bonus bets regardless of whether your initial wager wins or loses, plus 50 free spins on a specific slot at the Bet365 online casino.
Note: Welcome offers may differ by province. For example, at the time of writing, in Alberta the welcome offer is a little different, where there is a bet of $10 and you get $150 in bonus bets and 50 free spins.
Bonus bets are valid for seven days and cannot be used on teasers or any profit-boost events. If you win with bonus bets, you keep the profit but not the original bonus bet amount.
You will find many odds boosts for games and matches, early payouts, same game parlay offers, and other seasonal offers depending on what sport is in season. For example, it is early fall as of this writing. There are WNBA, MLB, NHL, and NFL offers, such as same-game parlay promos, one for massive boosted odds parlays, and a unique full-game injury protection for the NFL where, if you make a prop bet on a player and they are injured at any time of the game, you will get your stake back.
There are many promos to take advantage of with good terms and conditions. We gave this a 4.5 out of 5, and it would be higher if a loyalty or VIP program were available.
Sports coverage & betting markets
Bet365 offers nearly 40 sports to bet on, plus political and entertainment wagers, horse racing, and virtual sports. Since the company is based in the UK, it offers a wider range of markets for soccer and other sports such as cricket and darts. However, being for Canadian players, all of the popular leagues have solid coverage, especially the NHL, NBA, MLB, and the CFL.
On the left-hand side of the screen, under Trending, are popular sports and leagues. It also lists upcoming tennis and soccer matches, plus events such as major golf tournaments. Below that are all the sports Bet365 posts odds for, which is an impressive number.
You will find moneylines, spreads, totals, parlays, futures, teasers, and many player and team prop bets. We checked a late-season game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Baltimore Orioles and found over 100 prop bets.
One unique thing about Bet365 is the parlays they already offer for the same game. For example, for the Blue Jays game mentioned, they had four pre-made parlays with wide-ranging odds. Of course, you can also create your own parlay with the Bet Builder.
We liked that when we checked various games and matches, it showed which bonus offers were available. For example, we checked a CFL game between the Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and there was:
- Early payout
- Parlay boost for the moneyline, spread, and total
- 1st half lines 2-way parlay boost
The live betting section is top-notch and, as mentioned before, the sportsbook live streams more events than most sportsbooks. The number of live prop bets is much higher than on other sports betting platforms.
It was also nice that you can change the odds to view them in moneyline, decimal, or fractional format, and view the site in either English or French.

With solid sports coverage and betting markets, we gave this section a rating of 4.75.
Odds quality
We always check odds quality to see how the sportsbook we are reviewing stacks up against other popular Canadian sportsbooks. Are they comparable, or does the sportsbook undercut popular betting markets? So let’s check that for Bet365 for the Blue Jays vs. Orioles game.
| Sportsbook | Toronto Blue Jays | Baltimore Orioles | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bet365 | -120 (1.83) | +100 (2.00) | 7.5 runs |
| Betway | -120 | +100 | 7.5 runs |
| Sports Interaction | -125 (1.80) | +105 (2.05) | 7.5 runs |
The odds stack up the same for Bet365 and Betway, while Sports Interaction makes Toronto a bit more of a favourite. We found the odds competitive across all the sports we compared with other sportsbooks.
In our testing, we found no undercutting of popular markets. With odds competitive with other top sports betting platforms, we gave this section a rating of 4.5 out of 5.
Payment methods
Bet365 offers a decent range of banking methods for deposits and withdrawals. They may differ somewhat between the offshore sportsbook and the provincially regulated sites in Alberta and Ontario. For example, the provincially regulated sites accept Paysafecard for deposits while the offshore site does not.
One nice thing is that, no matter where Bet365 is regulated, Interac is accepted for deposits and withdrawals and is a go-to for many Canadian players. Sportsbooks don’t charge fees, but your card carrier may.
The main deposit methods are Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, Interac, Google Pay, and Apple Pay; wire transfers are also available at the offshore version of the sportsbook. The minimum deposit is $10, and all deposit times are instant.
For withdrawals, Interac, Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, and wire transfers are available. Withdrawal times depend on the method used, but Bet365 is one of the better sportsbooks for faster withdrawal processing and payout times.
We gave this section a rating of 4.25 out of 5 because we liked the fast processing and instant deposit times, but Bet365 doesn’t offer as many banking methods as other top sportsbooks.
Mobile experience
Bet365 offers a dedicated mobile app for both Android and iOS users. It is one of the better ones around for ease of navigation and fast loading times. At the same time, there are no specific mobile app promotions at the time of writing, which is pretty par for the course.
When we tested the mobile app, we found it easy to navigate and switch from pre-match to live betting. We quickly placed a pre-match bet and found it simple to create a parlay. Live betting was also impressive, allowing us to place bets quickly as odds changed.
When we made an Interac withdrawal using the app, we were paid out the next day. It was also no problem contacting live chat and checking out promotions, as we took advantage of an odds boost for a pre-match bet using our mobile device.
We liked everything we saw during our app testing and gave it a 4.5 rating.
Licensing & security
Bet365 is licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, operating in an agreement with iGaming Ontario, and the Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis (AGLC) in Alberta. The offshore site carries a legitimate, recognized licence from the Government of Gibraltar.
The site uses the latest SSL encryption to protect players’ personal and financial information. The Privacy Policy link also explains how they collect and use your data.
Before you make your first withdrawal, you will have to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process. Bet365 aims to complete this in less than a day, and you’ll need to send copies of a government-issued ID and a document to verify your address, such as a utility bill or bank statement. We also discovered when using live chat that the agent told us the first withdrawal can have a processing time of up to 24 hours.
There are plenty of responsible gambling tools available, and there is even information on problem gambling services. This is not legal advice.
We gave this section a rating of 4.5 out of 5.
Customer support
Bet365 offers 24/7 customer support via email (web form), live chat, social media, and even a mailing address. We tested live chat around 10:30 AM EST, and it took us to a box for new and existing customers. We clicked New Customer and were connected with an agent in about two minutes. The agent was very helpful, and while the chat wasn’t the quickest, they answered all our questions.
They responded to our email in around 12 hours, which was nice, and while there was no phone support, that is pretty standard these days for online sportsbooks. They also have a pretty good, but not great, FAQ section.
Overall, we were happy with the support, and while the chat wasn’t very quick, it was helpful. We gave this section a 4.25.

Our Bet365 verdict: 4.5 / 5
Bet365 is one of the most popular and recognized sports betting brands worldwide and a solid choice for players in Canada. While a UK brand, the Canadian version of the site offers great coverage of popular sports in Canada, and it is hard to top the NHL coverage, especially with the many betting markets and profit boosts. We gave it a solid 4.5 out of 5 for what it offers players, which is a lot.
If you are a player in Ontario or Alberta and want more banking options, or you want to be part of a VIP or loyalty program, another sportsbook may be a better option.
