Travel Guide: Getting to World Cup 2026 Stadiums from Canada

BC Place (Vancouver) is the most accessible for western Canadians — the stadium is a 5-minute walk from downtown Vancouver’s transit hub. Canada Line SkyTrain runs directly to the stadium from YVR airport in 26 minutes. Hotel prices in Vancouver during the World Cup are expected to rise 3-4x; the BC government has issued travel advisories recommending booking at least 18 months in advance.

BMO Field (Toronto) is accessible via the 509 or 511 streetcar from Union Station. The stadium sits on the waterfront in Exhibition Place. Toronto also serves as a hub for flights to US venues — Delta and Air Canada fly direct to New York (MetLife) and Dallas (AT&T Stadium).

For USA venues, Seattle’s Lumen Field is 3 hours south of Vancouver by car via I-5 — making it the closest US venue for BC residents. Amtrak Cascades also runs Vancouver to Seattle, though capacity is limited during large events.
