Brazil drew 1–1 with Morocco in Matchday 1 — a result that disappointed Carlo Ancelotti. Vinicius Jr was electric in patches but the defensive unit was too open. Against Haiti they will press from kick-off and show the attacking depth that makes them genuine title contenders. Endrick and Rodrygo are expected to start after rotating in Matchday 1.
Haiti lost 1–0 to Scotland and were largely outplayed for 90 minutes. Their 5-4-1 is designed to frustrate and they will sit deep and defend in numbers. On the counter they have pace through Frantzdy Pierrot, but against Brazil’s backline that route to goal will be closed quickly. Keeping the margin respectable is a realistic ceiling.
This is as close to a certainty as group stage football produces. Brazil need to bounce back, Haiti need a miracle. The handicap is the correct market — Brazil -2 at around 1.65 is the play rather than the moneyline at 1.14.
