Arsenal’s depth should be enough to get a result even with the defensive injuries, especially against a Villa side that is short of continuity up front after selling Rogers and Tielemans and resting its senior spine through preseason. That said, this is not the same lock that Arsenal’s home matches project to be, and a draw would not be a shock if Villa’s crowd gets an early goal to feed off.
